We are back in San Jose. Yesterday was a long busride from Playa Guiones. We took a taxi to Shanthi and Randal with their children Samantha and Daniel. I knew Shanthi in her childhood when we lived in Cottage Grove. Her Mom and Dad, Linda and Hunt, were friends of ours. Dr. Hunt delivered Ezra at our Cerro Gordo home. So it was so lovely to see Shanthi as an adult with her wonderful, exuberant husband and lovely children. We had dinner together and shared many stories.
We hope that they will visit us one summer in Portland as Randal works in McMinnville every summer running a soccor camp. This is what he does here in Costa Rica.
Happy Chanukah to everyone! We brought along very small candles and tin foil in order to light candles.
Today I am planning to go to museums. Yehudah might join me depending on how he is feeling.
