1/14/14: NYERO ROCK PAINTINGS

 1/14/14 NYERO ROCK PAINTINGS

The day started with Joanie successfully Skyping with Ezra for his birthday and ended with Joanie Skyping with Autumn for an hour. Skyping Success!  In the evening all the little girls met Autumn via Skype.

We did a fourth CL Training with the Talmud Class on "Stepping into another person's shoes."  The Rabbi offered to be the example, with a very honest story that was bothering him for days.  We got to pair up with students.  Mine was so sweet, heart-centered and benefitted greatly by the exercise with his problem with a friend.  So sweet.  My partner told me he loved doing these exercises.  I am hoping the rabbi will continue with a practice group.

Aaron agreed to drive us to NYERO Rock paintings 90 minutes away.  We took his two youngest sons and a friend.  The area is gorgeous, with giant rock formations, caves and rock paintings by the Batwa 100s of years ago. They worshipped the sun and drew it in concentric circles. In that era there was high water amid the rocks and they were fishermen, hence boats and crocodiles.  We explored the area with an excellent guide, who gave us ample time by each rock painting.

We returned to spend computer time, plan the Talmud class lesson for Thursday, have dinner, get involved with the soaps on TV.  But immediately when we returned we met Seth, the Principal of Semei Kankungulu High School, and walked over there for a tour.
